No. I'd be wary...

"Premier" aren't a well known photograhic brand, in fact I've never heard of them, so I'd steer clear.

You'd be better looking at Dabs - much better value and choice - for around the same price (under £150) you could get a decent 4mp or even 5mp camera from a well known (and probably better quality) manufacturer such as Fuji, Canon, Kodak or Konica Minolta etc, which will offer you greater peace of mind should you ever need customer support...

go into Jessops and ask them about the make. Dont buy from there, they tend to be rather expensive.

This is from an Amazon.co.uk press release in 2003. I tried to find Premier's website, but they don't appear to have one...

Quote:
London--June 11, 2003: Leading online retailer, Amazon.co.uk, is offering a range of top-of-the-line digital cameras from Premier, the world's leading camera manufacturer. Premier produces over 12 million cameras each year for leading camera companies such as Fuji, Konica, Samsung, Ricoh, Toshiba and Polaroid, and is now introducing its own line of high-quality, affordable digital cameras at Amazon.co.uk.

Premier may just be the best camera brand you've never heard of. Using the same technology it uses in producing cameras for better-known brands, but at a fraction of the cost, Premier is offering Amazon.co.uk's customers high quality products at unbeatable price points. Camera enthusiasts will enjoy tremendous savings when comparing Premier cameras to brand-name cameras of similar quality.

...which strikes be as saying "made by the same people but probably a little less quality and maybe not as much after sales support"...

Craig's advice is good. As with most things electronic, it is often best to find what you like in a high street store, and then find a better price online using a store or maybe using Froogle from google...

reading that. Its definatly worth checking out at a store if you can find them. Like Charlie said be careful to read the fine print as after sales service could be minimal.
