ATI Radeon X600XT 256MB DDR/PCI/DVI/TV-OUT

I don't have a AGP pr PCI-E slot so I have to go with PCI.

My current card is an integrated Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller 2, what the hell ever that means :=)

Well any card will beat an integrated, but I would seriously consider upgrading your mobo and maybe CPU to at least AGP or if your overpayed then PCI-e! Whats the socket on that mobo?

I'm afraid you're going to have to explain that one  Smiley
First of all, I'm not very good at computers, and second of all, I'm even worse when talking about it in English.

Right, well your english is better than my Swedish as you actually speak some!

Well the motherboard will have a socket on it depending on brand, price and speed.
From what I can remember if its AMD then I think its Socket 939, 754 and Slot A.
I cant remeber for Intel.

Robban,

I would not buy the X600 PCI card.

The PCI slot doesn't carry enough information to the system to be able to reach or sustain modern, high performance graphics standards.

In a nutshell, you have to change your motherboard for one with a dedicated graphics slot such as AGP or PCIe.

Don't run away, it's no big deal really. Just buy one and have it fitted. It's the perfect excuse for an upgrade   Wink

First things first, the x600 xt is a pci-express card. There is no such thing as a x600 xt for PCI (not express). the x600 xt doesn't even have a AGP port. (The x700 does though, but it gets trampled by a 6600 gt)

The best card you get for PCI is the nvidia geforce FX 5200. It will be better than an integrated solution, but not by too much. Consider getting a new mobo.

Ok. I have to blaim that one on the site I found that graphics card on.
I searched for PCI cards and that one came up.
Well, if the best I can get is the FX5200 and that won't make a very big differense, then I think I'll stick with what I have right now.
Don't have the money to change the moderboard and get a good graphics card for it too.

Thanks for your help!
