It also depends on how long you've been standing in the pit.
Saturday night I went to see a Led Zeppelin tribute called Hindenburg. And I didn't expect four other bands to be playing, let alone for it to last six hours. Hindenburg was amazing and their guitarist took extended solos off of songs like I've have heard Page did back in the day. Well, by the time they got up, I was already tired, deaf and sore from standing so long. So you can do a long solo, just do it early on.
