I have been reading through these posts and it seems like I am the only one around this board that enjoys Country, Bluegrass, Western Swing, and Southern Rock.  Anyone else?

I will sometimes listen to bluegrass and older country singers like Johnny Cash, Conway Twitty, Hank (jr or sr) Waylon and Willie etc. but I can't say I like any of the newer country music, except for Shania...gotta love Shania.

I used to, back when my parents limited my music selection somewhat.  But it was a lost cause when I saw a commercial for P.O.D. in 6th grade-and I've never gone back.  Modern country rock is a little too formulaic for me.

Definitely not the stuff I was listening to-still very country-y, but not as twangy as just plain old country.

My favorite is from Bakersfield , The one and only Merle H . I had all his music .
I saw Buck O last Concert on TV ,when he retired .
I saw them all start . including Elvis P. , He had some good COUNTRY SONGS.
OLDER COUNTRY and 50s and 60s ROCK are my FAVORITE.
I must say there is GOOD and NO GOOD music from the 20s to NOW.
