We had some thunderstorms here the other day and afterward, we saw the most incredible rainbow I have ever seen.  I don't think I have ever seen on so vibrant before.  It was like someone had painted on the sky with flourescent paint.  Sorry about the crappy pic, but it was an odd angle out the window, and it's not the best view...

There it is... Wow. Rainbows are tricky to photograph. Anybody ever seen a full-circle one while in flight? It's incredible.

I saw a rainbow that was the brightest I had ever seen when travelling along a rode in Soctland. I took a pic or it - I'll see if I can find it....

I saw one like that in France last summer. I took a picture of it. But with a camera i'd been given by a load of people who wanted their picture taken... Tongue

Nice rainbow there, just gotta find that pot of gold now. We got some pretty vibrant ones up when it was storming in Durham.

Seen them, just as you get above a cloud layer you can see them reflecting off it. They're actually called a Glory and they're caused by the diffraction of light in the cloud's water droplets. The center of the glory you can see is actually wherever you're sitting on the plane.
