irritating prob wif fs (Read 288 times)

hiyah guys...i was wondering if ani of u guys here could help me wif this very irritatin problem wif FS...it alwayes hang just after a few minutes of flying..eg.5mins and it's frustrating me...never had tis prob. when i installed fs on other platforms...could anybody just help me wif this?it's killing me...n besides this..everytime i set a configuration, it is alwaes reset to default after i've had exit from fs ...i have had tried several times reinstalling fs and to even the extent of reformatting my com...i'll be very grateful if anyone of you here could help me with this problem...thanks in advance...

Hi Pepperiot. I've seen this problem mentioned before but have never experienced it myself. I don't recall anyone with the problem confirming they fixed it or if they did fix it they didn't say how. It could be caused by something on your system or the way you have it set up. For example: not enough RAM, video card type & settings, correct drivers, version of DirectX etc. If you're using WinXP I've heard that installing various updates/service packs can affect FS2002. Lockups can also be caused by one or more applications running in the background. It's a good idea to shut down all unnecessary apps before a prolonged session in FS.

I hope this gives you some idea of where to look. I'm sure others will have their own suggestions.

PS. Some idea of your system specs would help.

hey..thanks fer responding hager..hmm..just reinstalled my fs and downloaded a few patches but i've not added any addons or planes to fs yet...taking a step at a time firs,will be doing some trial n errors...thanks lots fer the help... Grin

Did you ever had this problem or it appeared suddenly? Have you checked your computer for viruses and spies? Try Adaware which is a very good program for finding and removing spies from your computer. It has live update finctionality and is freeware.

nah...didnt have this prob..dun tink this is a virus as fs is the only programm which alwaes hang for some reason....was chasing this thai airways triple 7 this morning on an f18 when the com gave up on me again...thought i've solved the prob but i guess it wasnt so...tink i'll go n get fs2004 but do you think it'll be better to wait fer fs10?? ???
