With frame rates that low the card isn't working at all by the sound of it. The frame rights you are getting would be from the on board graphics. But wait for the experts here I'm sure they'll know.... just one question though do you have the right driver for it?

Cheers

Did you uninstall your 9800 Pro drivers before you took the 9800 in?

Did you install the 6800 drivers before you put that card in?

If you did that, then I think you just got a faulty card, go replace it...

I would say driver conflict is the problem here.

First off download the 66.81 drivers from Guru3d.com these are the best I have found so far for the 6800 Ultra.

Now go download a program called 'DriverCleaner3'

Install DriverCleaner3

Boot your PC into safe mode

Use Add/Remove to remove any ATI and Nvidia display drivers.

Now run DriverCleaner3 and use this to remove and little bits of ATI drivers and Nvidia drivers left behind.

Re-boot Pc into normal mode

When it says new hardware detected hit cancel.

Run the 66.81 driver file to install new drivers.  When the window comes up half way through saying new hardware found ignore it and it will continue on its own.

Go and delete your FS9.cfg file as this will more than likely stilll be reporting you have a 9800pro.  Once the FS9.cfg is deleted start the sim.  It will build a new one for you.  Of course you will have to put all your settings back in but hopefully your problem should be solved!

Okay!

First thank you so much every one, when I know I'm surrounded with professionals, it makes it much easier….

"My problem is still here"

In order to help me better I will briefly give over my pc configuration.

After I removed and cleaned in safe mode with driver cleaner 3, and I followed exactly the instructions and I installed the 66.81 driver. I launched fs2004 and it detected the new card (although it was detected from the first minute on) everything is at maximum level (with the 9800 pro at the maximum level my FPS was about 12-18 FPS) and I'm creating my same default flight and the FPS is: 1.1 YES 1.1 and some times it jumps up just a bit higher.

My pc configuration is:

Intel P4 board D875PBZ
3 GHz processor
2 GB dual RAM
250 GB serial HD
60 GB IDE HD
36 GB SCSI 15k rpm HD
DVD ROM
CD-RW
ZIP 100
FLOOPY
2 AUX FANS
eVGA e- GeFORCE 6800 ULTRA 256MB DDR 3 AGP 8X

"AND MY VERY NEW ULTRA 600 WATT ATX POWER SUPPLY"

The power supply gives me 2 main's each main with 4 power connectors

So here is what I did:

The First main for the primary on the 6800 and the100MB zip-what I'm using ones in the blue moon.

The Second main I connect to the secondary connector on the 6800 and I covered all the rest with some Y cables

Can some one please help me now???

Thanks a million

Some ideas:

1. Check your fs9.cfg file and look for duplicate displays. I had two displays listed once after I upgraded my GFX.

2. Avoid BETA drivers if you can and get only those drivers found at the maufacturer's site. I got a BETA driver once and it created some slight problems.

3. Upgrade your DirectX to 9.0C.

Questions: Do you have any benchmark utilities...do you have any other games and how are those running with the new card?

There is also the possibility that you got a defective card.

Good luck for now,

Gus

I searched all over, and I can't find a file named fs9.cfg

Why, with the 9800pro I did not have these problems?  I upgrade to have the best FPS not lower?!

If you're running XP it should be in:

C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9

You can also do a "Start" then "Run" and paste in "C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\Microsoft\FS9\fs9.cfg"

Which should open up that file.

The first route is safest since then you can make a shortcut. If you're not running XP you should let us know the OS and get the location from someone else.

Gus

PS Assuming that you're using FS2004. You can also search for that file. "Start" and "Search" etc. You can also delete that file to let FS create a new one from scratch as someone suggested. Back it up first if you wish.

Cool. OK, the default maximum FPS rate for FS2004 is 20 FPS. Go to your display settings in FS2004 and change that setting with slider to a higher value. I have mine set at unlimited.

Settings --> Display --> Hardware

Let me know if you need help in finding this setting window.

Can't do the remote log thing. But it looks like it's getting better and with some more tweaking of settings it should improve. Sometimes these things take a long time to set-up correctly. Other things to check might be in Device Manager and look for duplicate or old devices. Other people might have some ideas to come as well.

Cheers,

Gus
