Getting rid of ad banners in IE (Read 164 times)

I found a nifty site for the IE users out there, it has a new "hosts" file that blacklists certain IPs and makes it so that banner ads just plain don't show up! It is available here: http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm. I have tested it with IE and confirmed that it works.

READ THE INSTRUCTIONS AND BACK UP YOUR ORIGINAL "HOSTS" FILE!
