i, personally, though i have an extreme want to do so, am yet to play Halo 2. but everyone i know who has an xbox that i know has it, and my best friend called me today, since he wasnt at school to tell me, and told me it was an overrated game, and that it never would have made it had it not been the sequel to Halo. he pointed out alot of things, too many to remeber, that were wrong with it. anyway i was wondering if anyone else had played and had a thought on it

I've only been able to play it for a few minutes (its my brother's and he has been spending every free second he has on it) but I liked it.  I think its a very good game.  Personally, when you compare it to Halo-its not as good (at least as far as I've seen) but Halo was an amazingly good video game (so good it would be very hard to beat).  When looking at it that way, anything would be a "disapointment."  But, by looking it as a new game (not comparing it to the original) its very good.  Does that make sense?

Now, I have heard somethings about the campaign from people online who have already beaten it (yeah, kind of sad really) who say it is both short and has a bad story line.  These things I have yet to experience for myself.  But, from what I can see-it is a very good video game (even though its not as good as the original).  Lets face it, Halo might be the best video game of all time (according to many people...not including me).  We can't expect the same thing out of Halo 2.

First of all, the the original Halo is a classic, and I agree with Rich. Halo 2 certainly isn't as good as the original, but Halo 2 is still a great game

I'm too involved with Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas to start another game right now, many of the guys I work with are playing Halo 2 though, we had today off for Veteran's day, so I'm sure I'll hear more about Halo 2 tomorrow, I plan to stick with GTA: SA until the new Gran Turismo comes out  Roll Eyes in December.

  Update:
The guys at work are hearing a lot of complaints from their friends that this game can be beaten in 8-10 hours, that is pretty sad for a game that took 3 years to make, I don't know this to be true for myself, I'm not playing the game and don't really intend to anytime soon, but that really sucks for all the fans that have been waiting so long for this title to drop.
Personally I have nearly 40 hours into GTA:SA and have a very, very long way to go, I doubt I am even a quarter way through the game, but I am not rushing through it either, there is so much to see and do and discover that I am taking my time and exploring as much as I can, I highly recommend it!
Not really for kids though I have to admit.

I loved playing the first one so I figured I better go out and get this.  My look on it that is, being nearly done already, you don't really get what you really want if you have been waiting for a while.  The campaign isn't the best, and the cut scenes are sometimes a little ugly.  But, the multiplayer is wonderful now, and rag-doll physics help to the death-animations.  Dual Wielding was really supposed to be a big thing, and I thought it wound't be that special, however, I have found it to be the best addition to the game.  Also, the vehicles are somewhat better, and the ability to kick another person out of one makes it more evened out.

All in all, I don't really think Halo 2 lives up to the ratings, I am telling myself that it's just because i have been waiting for so long and was wishfully thinking that it would be a 10 out of 10 game.  I would say it was worth the 50 bucks to go out and buy,  for I didn't think Halo 1 was a fantastic game when I first got it...

That's pretty sad, you wait 3 years to spend 50 bucks on a game you can beat in a single afternoon, oh well, if you trade it in quick you will get a good price for it, I think I'll just stick with San Andreas.

If you think 6 hours is sad how about 2.5 playing,
W.W. II :Sniper Call To Victory

And that is in difficult mode! Guess I was caught by the fancy box and attractive price of $20 Sad
Game sounded cool but sucked bad! Not to mention it took almost longer tweaking settings to get it to run smooth, and Groove Games has nothing for customer support, not good for a up and coming company in the gaming field Wink
