Try as I might, I can't seem to get the cross-haired gunsight only on my screen - no instruments only sight.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Hold down the Ctrl + shift + N key and with any other free fingers press keys 1,2,3,4 and 5 several times until they disappear. Mind you I'd want them back up to fly by!  Smiley

Try pressing F5. The Control+Shift+N thing is a pain in the arse when it comes to getting the instruments back again.

In which case my suggestion is to fly in cockpit view and learn how to dogfight proper. Grin Wink
