Hi all,
when dividing edges, are you able to divide the line behind,  so that  you can divide the front and back in the same spot eg..I have a made a box ,I want to divide the edges and I want to divide the edges in the same spot, front and back.

Cheers HSV

When you say divide, are you talking about adding vertices into the line? If so use the Slice tool at the Polygon sub object level. You could also use the Cut tool at the Edge sub object level as well.

If what you want to do is divide the lines so they have a parallel line in close proximity use the Chamfer tool on the Edges you want to divide. You can chamfer all the edges at once also to keep good symmetry on the box.

Are you going for a box with rounded edges instead of the sharp 90-degree look?

Thanks edge ,
What I am trying to do is make  the aircraft panel. I want to get the shape by dividing the edges because I need to bevel the panel because the edges of the panel are raised. I have found that if I create a box and add length, height, and width sigments as you do so you can move the polys to shape an object, I can't bevel all the outer edges at the same time  , if you understand my meaning.
I found, if I have a box with just 1 seg for height, length and width and divide the edges so I can round them, I am able to bevel the panel so the edges are rasied.
In the front view port when I divide the front edge I want to divide the back edge at the same time so I can use the selection region
