Wow. Very neat. I remember there was one on Christmas a couple years back... Two or three years... Cause I remember my 5/6 grade Science teacher gave our entire class glasses that would allow us to view it safely. (I'm in 8th grade now... Roll Eyes)

We had one of them 5 years ago. Thankfully god provided us with a cloudy sky so we were never in any danger of ruining our eye sight. It was such a big even for Cornwall that Robert the Bruce came to our house specially to see it. Grin

Woodie this was the same one, just we got it a few mins later in Hungary. It was weird, middle of the day and suddenly it got dark and cold, and I managed to blat off a few shots with my camera. The tiny white spots on the photo are in fact stars!!!
Oh and my vision is fine, in fact my weak eye is getting better 8)

I was going to ask about that:) Wondering if it was indeed stars or just dust. So thanks for clearing that up.

Very nice Mark. Celestial camera settings are very tricky!
Really looks like a pro!

It was odd for me, I'd gone up to Balaton by train and they'd told me to be on the back half of the train as that would be going the right way after Siofok. Err WRONG! So I'd hopped off the train when I realised and literally set-up on the side of the road outside the station when the eclipse began (yes I was wearing my special sunglasses), I'm still over the moon (pardon the pun) with this particular shot, it came off better than I could have ever hoped for.
No shots of Venus today I'm afraid Sad
