This seems to be a favorite angle of mine as of late, but this time two C47's with the city of Knoxville in the background
...

Don't have a clue as to what this is but they stopped by for fuel and left so I couldn't inquire about it
...

Can't get enough of the C47's Smiley
...

The Stearman
...
...
...

The P47's again
...

And for the chopper fans "The Law"
...

they were suppose to bring a Huey but this is what we got. LOL! Pretty Helo none the less!
If you noticed in a few photos some vintage cars were there also, most 1937 and older, I guess they mistook this as a car show LOL!!!
But in the end all who attended learned something, and gained a new appreciation for the men and women of the world who make the commitment to serve thier respective countries and that my friends was the whole point of the days activites! Never forgetting!!

That plane you couldn't identify is none other than a Grumman Widgeon (Aka Gosling in RAF terms).

Lovely stuff Fret, I love the dear old Stearman.
Woodie is right about the Widgeon, but I have to ask one question where are the flashing lights on the cop-shop chopper?

The way the wheels retract is kinda cool. The Catalina employs the exact same method.
