This gorgeous little bird stopped by to check out some of our work and also to get a bid for a custom interior.

I was amazed at the size of the Rolls Royce engines, but my jaw hit the floor when they fired them bad boys up and the APU was louder than both of them put together.

From what I understand, she cruises at mach .91 and is in the process of being certified to cruise at mach .94.  What I would give to go for a ride in her.

Isn't the fastest civilian jet the Hawker something-or-other or is that just a rumor???

AMD Athlon 64 3700+&&GeForce FX5200 256Mb&&1GB DDR400 DC&&Seagate 500Gb SATA-300 HDD&&Windows XP Professional X64 Edition
&&&&That's right, I'm now using an AMD! I decided to give them another try and they kicked the pants off of my P4 3.4!

I don't know about Hawker, but I have heard that Dassault is in the process of making a super sonic bizjet.  It's be about 6 months since I heard that.

Maybe some of our European friends can shed some light on this for us.

I'm no eurpoean, but a little research yielded this:
None of the current Hawkers (and not of the old, if it was this fast, they'd still sell it) go anywhere near the Citation X's speed

As as far dassault...
I found this page on a new plane of thiers.
Called the Dassault Falcon 7x

Looks quite nice- widebody, promises high speed, but it doesn't look like something that will go supersonic.  I don't think that's feasible at this point- the overland limitations for concorde would be the same for this- and a drag for a businessman who paid a lot for that feature to only use it over the ocean...

Ivan, I sure hope they bring one of those by the shop if and when they hit production.  She is an absolute work of art.

Dave, awesome looking aircraft.  If I could ever get FS2K4 to work on my computer I would fly that bird everywhere!!   Grin
