Got my runway built with AFCAD, got AI traffic going using TTOOLS, and all is not well.

My AI traffic is floating above the taxiways and runways. I've tried adjusting the elevation on all the defferant areas of AFCAD.
Including the navaids. Nothing makes a defferance.

Any plane I use sets on all points as it should.

Anyone else have this or know how to get the AI's onto the deck.  And yes the cessnas still bounce.

Get JABBgl Steve and adjust the level of the default airfield.

Mentioned this in a thread just a few days ago. Works like a charm and very easy to do. It's the ONLY way to make this change - AFCAD2 can't do it no matter how much you play with the numbers.

Rollor ball;   I d/l jabbgl and ran it on the file for my airport ie.. af2_kwas.bgl, it changed the elevation numbers, but when I ran FS the AI's are still floating.

Did I choose the wrong file or what???

Steve, you have modified an existing airport - yes?

JABBgl is designed to work on the BGL files in the main scenery folder ie ...\FS9\Scenery which are contained in regional sub-folders. So Eurw is western Europe etc. There are dozens in each sub-folder and you need to page through the ones in the relevant sub-folder with JABBgl until you find the one that contains your airport. Then you edit the altitude.

Easy Wink

Hmm from your AFCAD file your ICAO code is KWAS right? There's no such airport in FS9 (I think) so this could be a problem. In this case I would create the airport using the new XML code approach - but that needs a little bit of extra knowhow.

Rollerball;  Your correct, the ICAO code for my airport is KWAS and it is new. I built it from scratch. I didn't modify any other airport. Does this mean that JABBgl wont fix my problem of AI floating.

What does it take to use XML code.

Steve, does this mean you haven't used a flatten in the area where you've put your airfield? If you've only used AFCAD I'll guess you haven't

Rollerball;  Where can I find M$ scenery xml_sdk? I thought I had it, but now can't seem to find it.  I looked on M$ web site, with no luck.

Also I was looking at the generic building texture file in Makescenery and it is in a different format than what is in your list of objects. How do I use the generic list to add objects to my scenery?

Thanks for all your help and patience I really appreciate it

Hay Roger;   Like so many other things I try, if I can't get it to work I leave it for a while and come back to it another day.

Did this with JABBgl and low and behold, AI on the deck Smiley

Thanks Roger

Steve you're always welcome. Good to know when a fix has worked properly.
