Ken Bruce today on BBC Radio4....!
(For us "oldies", or the youngsters who really shouldn't know about such things...)...
...!
"Whenever I used to accompany my Dad to the Barber's shop* for a haircut when I was small, the Barber always used to ask my Dad, "...something for the week-end**, sir?".
My Dad used to look at me, embarrassingly, and always say, "A jar of Brylcreem***, please"...."
Now I know why I have 12 brothers and sisters, and my Dad has a lovely head of hair...!
LOL...LOL...LOL...!
Cheers all...
...!
Paul.
*..a gentleman's hairdresser...
** ..go figure...LOL...!
*** ..A British hair dressing cream compound to give us nice shiny hair...
...and does absolutely nothing to regulate the population of Great Britain...

I think you mean Radio 2 unless Herefordshire receives different radio stations to the rest of of the country. Maybe it's your old steam radio.
PS. Now you know why he works on radio & not TV.

I miss dear old Jim. He was very badly treated.IMHO This new guy is still wet behind the ears & not a patch on a real professional.
I'm also a big fan of Steve Wright in the Afternoon but can't put up with Jonathon Woss. I don't know how he ever got the job let alone be voted Radio Personality of the Year. ??? I must be missing something.

Brandon obviously has no idea what us old "TOGs' " get up to in public, (or in private)...>>
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/shows/wogan/togs.shtml
We live in a state of suspended animation, surrounded by mirth, and memories of times long ago, while wearing rose-tinted spectacles, wooly cardigans and slippers.
Cheers all...
...!
Paul.
P.S. Oh, and odd socks...
