Hello I tried to use the Dassault Rafale for FS2002, by Cyril Pioffet. Everything works fine, but the panel is jumbled up. Does anybody know a fix for this?

Thanks.

What do you mean "all jumbled up" ranger?

Maybe you could find a similar panel in the panel downloads section that will work, unless this one is the panel you have to have.

Exactly what Rafale are we talking about? Perhaps we can take a look at it and see if there is something that can be done.

Ok, found it and got it and I see what you are talking about.

That is the gauge15=rafale!ecran gauche,  153,230,79,87 in the Main Window Panel of the panel.cfg. All those Rafale gauges are in a cabinet and that gauge is in XML format. The creator, or someone with XML programming knowlege would have to fix it. I could see all the "positions" for the various aspects of the gauge, but with my limited knowlege of what each is, you and I would both be gone b4 I got it figured out.

You could just put a couple hash marks in front of that ga. I listed to make it inactive until a fix comes along, if one does. Like this:

//gauge15=rafale!ecran gauche,  153,230,79,87

Sorry I couldn't be anymore help than that.

I'm having the same problem, its a shame since this is  nice plane.

I was able to extract the "ecran gauche.xml" file from the rafale.cab folder. Looking at the "ecran gauche.xml" file I think its the Fond2on.bmp file that is at fault. Its also located in the rafale.cab file.

There is an entry for the fond2on.bmp file in the ecran gauche.xml file and I think the variables associated with it will resize it but I'm not sure what those numbers should be. I was able to change the numbers (just using random numbers to see what the effect might be) but I can not get the file back into the rafale.cab file to where it is recognized in FS2004.

I've also e-mailed Cyril Pioffet but I haven't received a response yet.

Anyone out there with suggestions?

The Rafale can be found here;

http://www.simviation.com/fs2002military31.htm

There is a panel fix and update at www.mirage4fs.com

The panel fix corrects some button/switch problems but doens't fix the ecran gauche issue. The update adds afterburners (i think).
