WOW this is an easy airplane to stall.  I thought I had good stall recovery techniques (witnessed by the fact I am still breathing Grin) but this airplane seems to have a mind of it's own.

Any comments/ideas on Extra stall recovery?

Thanks!

Yeah: don't do it! Grin

Seriously, though.  To keep yourself from crashing when you DO stall (which can be a really nifty trick), leave your stick centered when the stall starts, and the moment you get the nose lower than the tail, kick the throttle to full and pull softly up and to the left.  If you're below about 100 ft AGL or so, you might crash, so try it out a few thousand feet up first.

Thanks ~ I will try it.

FS should install a virtual Cirrus-styled airframe parachute on this bird!  Grin

Now you know how to recover it but how do you spin in FS? I've never been able to do it!

AMD Athlon 64 3700+&&GeForce FX5200 256Mb&&1GB DDR400 DC&&Seagate 500Gb SATA-300 HDD&&Windows XP Professional X64 Edition
&&&&That's right, I'm now using an AMD! I decided to give them another try and they kicked the pants off of my P4 3.4!

I believe there are a few 3rd party models that will spin realistically in the sim. The latest Decathlon for example. I've never tried one myself.

It's been a while since I tried the FS2002 Extra 300 so I'm not sure how realistic it is.* A fully aerobatic aircraft with the power to weight ratio of the Extra should not stall unless you want it to.

*PS. I just tried. I see what you mean. Roll Eyes
