Deep Impact definately, at least the comet does hit the earth in that one or part thereof . . . . . . .
I found Independence day Long but still enjoyable. Armageddon is good as well but getting old and The Core is pretty unbelievable, just good entertainment.

I wouldn’t really say Bond movies is the save the world type. He just stopped a bad guy from "taking over the world".
I just argue if Terminator or Matrix is a save the world movie. There does not seem to be and ending so far...

independence day, definatly, the movie was years ahead of its time with the special effects and stunts, and it will prob go down as one of the best ever.
