How about a two-seater Extra 300?  Hasn't been done as far as I know.  I was thinking about it, but I couldn't find any three-views and I am also in the middle of two or three aircraft projects already.

Yup, that's the plane.  If you need 3 views of it, I have them.

If you are willing, when you get it built, I would like to do the textures for it.

My plane is coming alomg very well. It has about 3000 polygons (I think thats a bit to much) but I might be able to reduce them later.

He said its about 3000 so far.  And by the way, LANDMYN, 3000 polys is nothing.  I use that on gear alone.

For one of my current projects, the Hughes H-1b, the count is currently at 23666.  And that does include a very detailed exterior model, as well as the forward gear and cockpit exterior.  Don't worry too much about polys.  To get a true frame-rate hit, you have to add many thousands of more. I get frame-rate drops with the 300L you found, but with my own H1-b, I get miniscule drops.

Excellent!  Doing great so far!

One suggestion:

The little bits coming off the end of the wings (I don't know the name of them), make them a little thinner, as they seem to be about two inches thick right now.  Other than that, great model so far!

I just wanted to congradulate LANDMYN on the world record for making a cockpit. Including the time it took to post the reply on this thread it took less than one minute from start to completion.
Let me know how you did it so fast, I am trying to learn aircraft design on GMAX and it is driving me crazy.

Please don't take this the wrong way, im not trying to start a flame war or anything it just seems like you posted three replies in three minutes and i don't see how you could have actually even worked on the cockpit and finished it in under a minute.

LMFAO!!!  Okay!

That's something to be proud of! Grin

Seriously, it amazing how short a span of time LANDMYN has been working on this project!  I gave him the specs for it a week ago, and already he has a great aircraft made!

I commend LANDMYN for his persistence through the process.  I know how difficult and frustrating aircraft design can be, and he has done a commendable job creating a flyworthy aircraft for us to enjoy.  I greatly anticipate the release of this aircraft with some excellent textures (shhhhshhhh, LANDMYN!)

EEAAASSY, guys.

I'm in charge of the textures (thankyou, LANDMYN!) and since my FS and Gmax suffered a horrible crash a couple of days ago, I haven't been able to make any headway.  I've got it fixed now, so rest assured, things will be appearing very soon . . .

Ooooooh, so much fun!
