I'm still in the ultra-early stages, and the books i got are solid. I'm not even gonna atempt this for a long while yet Roll Eyes

Might pick up another tab book soon which is simpler to play, like the offspring or somthing

I'm not going to vote because I used to be able to play it quite well, but I don't really play that much anymore so I'm pretty sure I would suck at it now, although a little while back I was messing around and remembered most of it after a few tries.

Are you guys serious? That is the most basic of intros I've ever heard. It's a slow chord progression repeating itself a few times.. I've only heard the song a few times and was unimpressed.

It's really not as easy to learn as it sounds, to play it correctly you have to use a kind of three finger picking method that takes some practice if you are not used to playing in this style, once you get it down though it's pretty easy.
It works okay for a finger picking exercise.

I never have been able to figure out what the big deal with this song is though.. Maybe it's just me but I've never seen anything special in it.

It was probably the first power balet...Thats all I got. But that song is rather hard. I learned how to play with notes and all that first, learned tabs a few mouths ago. And for a beginner... Shocked

...Just give it a try sometime.

Yeah, you gotta consider that this song came out in like '72 or '73, at the time this was some serious heavy sh*t, no one had done anything quite like "Stairway" before.
