The Open (Golf) Championship starts tomorrow in Kent.  I will see it at US Eastern Daylight Time.

What's the offset between Kent and EDT - 5 hours or 6?

What time (local) will it get too dark to play golf?  I see tee times as late as 4:00 pm (local) and it takes between 4 and 4.5 hours to play a round of golf.

England, near Dover.  Royal St. Georges, to be exact.  We call it the British Open but I understand that The R & A calls it "The Open".

Thanks.  I got everything confirmed thru online almanacs.  It's 5 hours difference, but in the other direction (6 am UK = 1 am EDT).  Local sunset is about 9 pm.

Don't forget to check if they are putting the times as GMT or BST(British Summer Time). BST is GMT+1
