???
I have had my copy of FS 2002 Professional edition for
about 8 months, but just built a computer, fast enough to smoothly play it on. I had fiddled with it on my old Athlon 650, but the graphics were choppy, but the sound was perfect. Well I built an Athlon 2600+, the graphics, and the controls are perfect, now the sound is choppy, when the ATC or the instructor are talking, the sound chops up, and is very difficult to hear. I am using a Phillips PSC-604 Sound card, with the latest drivers, DX version 9.0..

I thought it may be the card, so I switched to the on board audio, and get the same thing. Any one else having this problem? Any one have any possible causes or solutions.
Thanks

Is it only when you use FS2002 that you have the sound problem? If so, try reinstalling the sim perhaps.

Windows sound settings configured properly?

The fact that your addon sound card and the onboard sound both were not working with the game rules out hardware problems to my way of thinking.
