Hi Britney, long time no see. If you can post your system specs and which OS and drivers you are using I'll try and help.

some causes for your problem:

- power supply (300W min.)
- drivers (get the newest ones!)
- overheating
- Direct X

nevertheless,your system specs would be useful.

  Hi

  Yea it has been awhile,  I am looking up that info as we speak.

  If someone would accept a phone call on my dime, that would be great.   I am under the gun here to get this damn card up and running.  I have NEVER had this much trouble with an ATI product before.

CPU= Intel  Pent III 500 mhz mmx
Ram=  256mb
OS=  Windows  98SE
DirectX=  9.00.0900
VIA Chipset------"not my first choice"

Britney what card did you used to run? I'm amazed the machine will run 2k2 at anything approaching a decent speed with 256mb RAM Shocked

did you have problems before?

if not,it could be your mainboard,which supplies the graphics card with too little power.
i need the manufacturer and model of the mainboard...

and ozzy,FS 2002 runs very well with 256mb,the CPU is the problem in this case.

Britney,

I JUST got a ATI Raedon 9600 xcard and installed it.  It seems to work great so far.  Beats my experience with Asylum and PNY cards using the NVidia drivers.

So it apparently CAN work OK with at least some machine and software configurations.

I'm running a pretty new machine.

best,

...............john

Hi guys,

  OK I am convinced, I finally got everything installed and running fine UNTIL I started my first flight with my settings almost maxed out.   As of now if I try to fly, the system locks up TIGHT !    So as was recommended  its time to start throwing parts into her, starting with Motherboard,Chip,Memory and upgrade the power supply.  Then I will go from there.

Thanks again

Britney
