Does anyone know how to remove the window tags in the top right of the screen? Not the slew/pause/brakes tags... I'm talking specifically the ones that show up when you zoom in and out, or otherwise change views?

They go away eventually, but what I'm trying to do is make them never show up at all, for purposes of making videos.

Shift+Z doesn't control them (that toggles the top left info), theres no on/off enable tag for them listed in the fsx.cfg (though you can change the color of them there Roll Eyes) and cameras.cfg was useless as well....unless i missed something.

I'm exhausted. Any ideas?

Best I can tell is you can't remove them. What I did, besides changing color, was to shorten the time displayed. 1 Sec seemed to be the minimum.

[Display]
ChangeTime=1.0000
TransitionTime=0.1000
........
InfoUpperRightTextColor=215,233,210
InfoUpperRightBackGroundColor=0,0,0,0

THANKS Dave!

Actually, with ChangeTime=0 they never seem to show up at all..that's exactly what I was looking for.

I'm not sure what settings you had tried, but 0 seems to work fine if you want them to simply vanish. Smiley

You made my day!

In the FSX cfg. under the [Main] section add this:
HideInfoText=1

Then make sure that these two entries have a 1 after them not a 0 (zero):
HideMenuFullScreen=1
HideMenuNormal=1

These actions will remove all of the red text on screen Wink

Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

Thanks Chuck, guess I missed the HideInfoText=1' tweak. But then I've only had FSX for 6 years.  Smiley  Cheesy
