I did a repair once but I can only remember that it screwed up my addons and in the end I was much happier with the results when I just did a reinstall. Put the FSX install disc in and navigate to the repair function. That's step one, but I can't remember doing the acceleration disc. I'm pretty sure it will rewrite all your cfg's back to default so give it some thought before you do it.

I'm pretty sure that only default aircraft will be affected by the repair. If you back up the cfg. files of your default aircraft you should be OK Smiley

I always run the repair from FSX and then Acceleration too Smiley

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

What I had to do once, been a year ago,, tho,, I  did the FSX Repair , and BEFORE I did, I took and copied and moved all my AIRCRAFT to another place, and SAVED them in another location.

Because if you don't , the Repair can or may change and or delete any changes you made to the Default Aircraft, such as Added Views or any other changes you've made to the Aircrafts CFG File, and also PANEL Folder / Files.

It will take them back to original Default, so becareful !!

Save your Aircaft folder, Guages and effects somewhere else on your computer,, like your pictures folder or video folder or music folder, and swap them back later.

Just so you know, doing the FSX Repair,, I had to use all 3 disks,, cause I have Acceleration.

fairly simple really,, worked for me anyway.

just a few things to beware of, tho, mentioned above.

I did a repair to FSX last week.... Insert Disc 1 of FSX (not Acceleration), click on REPAIR  (not REMOVE), When Disc 1 is completed it will ask you to insert  Disc 2. When that is completed, restart your system. Acceleration Disc is not needed and ALL of your add-ons will be right where they were before. Hope this helps. Smiley
