However, sound will travel at different speeds depending on the medium it is passing through. Due to this, the "Mach" number is based on the speed of sound in a vacuum.
So, you're saying sound has a spiritual air about it and an empty-headed medium is a sound trap?
Off topic but I just had a call on my cell phone. He said "Hello is 'H' there" So I said 'yes, H is there because he is not here'. It was a very odd wrong number..

Mr. Rodgers was a sniper in Vietnam, his arms are covered in tattoos which is why he always wears cardigans on the show.

Strange, if not weird. I haven't been in Canada since the last century, once for a pew delivery/installation in Toronto and once or twice passing through Ontario from Michigan to NewYork.

JFK and Marilyn Monroe were not in fact having an affair, They were simply fellow time travel enthusiasts, which is why both were secretly assassinated.

If a bee drinks from a water source, it's safe for humans too.

The Eastern rail on North-South train routes is lower in order to counteract the pull of rotation of the Earth.

It is a well-known fact that cars driven on even-numbered highways are newer and better maintained than those driven on odd-numbered highways.

The office supply store, Staples, is actually named for C.S. (Clive Staples) Lewis.
C.S. Lewis died on November 22, 1963, the same day as Aldous Huxley and John Kennedy.

The personal computer was invented in 1921 by Clarence Wingard. He abandoned it because the monitor was prone to breakage by fast typists.

It is not true that the bra was invented by Otto Titzling, the flush toilet by John Crapper, or the guillotine by Doctor Joseph-Ignace Guillotin. However it is true that the first commercially successful vulcanized rubber condom was invented by Dick Sheather.

I'm sure many of you cooks out there have preserved fruit in a Mason Jar. Common sense would dictate that the process should be called Masoning or perhaps bottling. But it isn't. It's called canning. This is because it is named after Sir George Canning, who invented this method while being the Ambassador to Portugal. He used it to preserve lemons.
