Well Daube, this one
"and finally you have to install the Accusim core update 1.3.1 that can be downloaded from the A2A forums."
really messed things up.
Now, i cant start the engine, even keep it going from another ac!? AND i'm not able to delete that update!
Do i have to start all over?

No, most likely the problem comes from your default flight.

So try to make a new default flight. Start it with the default Cessna or something like that, and default and simple plane. Then load the Mustang, and whatever it does, click on the "Cold and Dark" button in the features panel (SHIFT+2 or SHIFT+3, I never remember). Your Mustang will then be stopped, with a cold engine, ready to be started.

Then save your flight, with the "default" option checked.

This is just what i've been telling others here. Be aware of the default flight!!
My default is a cessna running at take off (i have no others).
When i go from the cessna till p-51, the engine just shuts down and i'm not not able to get anything running again!
I can go to any other ac and start it up, but when going back, some smoke and then nothing.
I do not wish to have a p-51 at default, i wish to be able to start it up, when i want to fly it. That update, imo, was not what i wanted.
So can i uninstall that update, or do i have to start install the a2a 51 again?

Oh yes. I could start that monster up before the core install!

The core update has brought some small kirks here and there, but nothing that would prevent the aircraft from starting.
That's why I asked you to create a totally new flight, and to set your plane to cold and dark via the accusim popup panel. Also, take a look in the maintenance hangar to check if your engine is really ok, and double check all of your levels.

Finally, in the cockpit, ensure the fuel stuff is set correctly. Tank selection, mixture, primer, boost pump, and throttle.

Delete the "dat" file for the P-51 and try it again after restarting FSX.
The update most likely changed the dat file format and trying to fly
the P-51 with the old dat file won't work. Or it is possible that the dat
file became corrupted at some point.

Thank you Gypsy.
I did that, and now i can start the monster again. Dont know what happend!

Jetprop.
Yes. As you can see in other treads, i always recommend others to make backups, and i certently do it myself.

Daube.
I have printed a hole book out on that p-51 and i can asure you, only a few can beat me telling how things work! And i love that book.

Next problem. Sorry.

I downloaded Enchantress.zip to see if there is some improvements on the textures. But i cant find the ac.
Did all what the readme tells. Checked aircraft.cfg. Put everything into the right place, but no ac!
What could be the problem?

For information, the Accusim Core Update 1.4 is now available for download from the A2A forums.
This patch will impact all the latest Accusim aircrafts: the Spitfire, the P-40 and the P-51. It brings some corrections for the bugs that were found in the Core Update 1.3.1. It also brings some improvements and some additionnal features on the Spit and the P-40, like the sounds of the hot metal ticks when you switch the engine off, or the possibility to remove the pilot when the aircraft is parked.

You just need to install it on top. This time, the flight hours of your planes will be kept  Cool (previous core updates were setting all of your planes to 0 hours, totally new).
