I've been playing around with my Hawker 4000 and started the engine, I have most of it modeled but the spinner and fan blades are on an angle, so my question is how do you rotate something on a non linear axis. Huh

Depends on how you made the blades. If they are supposed to be animated, as in variable pitch blades, for example, you can use the "local" setting for the rotation axis. If you're using gmax/3ds max you just have to select the rotation tool and go to the roll down list next to it that says "view", click it and select local.

Up is the way to go.
