Deano, shouldn't it say "Judge lanky11" instead of "Judge ManuelL" below the Virgin Blue shot?

Gold Coast, Queensland at Sunset

The Gold Coast is a coastal city of Australia located in South East Queensland, 94km south of the Queensland capital of Brisbane. With a population approximately

540,000 in 2010, it is the second most populous city in the state, the sixth most populous city in the country, and also the most populous non-capital city in Australia.

The Gold Coast is known as a major tourist destination with its sunny subtropical climate, surfing beaches, canal and waterway systems,

its high-rise dominated skyline, nightlife, and rainforest hinterland. The Gold Coast is a candidate city for the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Gold Coast

Good luck all.

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

[color=#000000]Here's my entry!

Celebrating 20 years of operating the F/A-18 Hornet by the Royal Australian Air Force, this F/A-18E of No. 1 Squadron conducts a dawn patrol over it's home Airfield at RAAF Base Amberley, Queensland.  It is painted in a special livery commemorating each squadron that has flown the F/A-18 since it's introduction to the RAAF in 1987.  Next year, 2012, will be the Hornet's 25 year anniversary of flying with the RAAF.  It is scheduled to be replaced by the F-35 Lightning II beginning in 2014, however delays with the F-35 may see the Hornet continue flying at squadron strength as late as 2020.

Here's my entry:

The RAAF flew Mirage IIIs from 1963 through their retirement in 1988. This is a tribute to this famous fighter over Cairns!
