but still Xp its winning this poll

It's also the oldest of the options, which means it has had longer to gain popularity. Not to mention, a lot of people don't bother upgrading (a trend I've noticed on SimV - If people are happy with their rigs, they typically stay there. Only a select few are about getting the latest and greatest)

From what I've been reading, Windows 8 is already in beta testing. Aero, rumour has it that 8 is to use 64 bit and possibly 128 bit, and Aero Light addresses 32 bit. (Rumour of course)

I'm using Win7 x64 on all my computers here. It's generally fast, it's good-looking, and overall it's not a bother.

I switched my second laptop over to 7 this week also, because I've found that XP has no native support for WPA2 Wi-fi encryption... It wouldn't connect to the net over at my GF's place... So I upped it to 7.

The worst thing about 7 to me, is that MS decided to scrap the very entertaining Space Cader Pinball Game by Maxis for that god-awful Purble Place thing. Wink

Cheers

I used to run Windows7.....had a PC catastrophy.........the manufacturer wanted to charge me 145 bucks to restore my operating system.......even though the PC was still under warranty......no more Windows 7 for me.....back to Vista........keep those disks around Wink

It is probably a combination of many factors, but it seems like I've had fewer problems with Vista than I did with 7 as far as FSX goes Smiley

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

That's not surprising. FSX isn't really compatible with Windows 7.

Yes right even I haven't think like that, I am also using Windows XP only!!! In windows 7, I felt there is too much problem in compatibility.Because most of the software's like TC are not working on it!! May be Xp is old but i think it is the best!!
