WOW. Was watching the Notre Dame game then I saw it was 24-7 ND in the 4th so I turned it off. Turned it back on and saw that it was 24-28 Michigan!

Now ND took the lead...

FAU is last of the 120 teams in the Football Bowl Subdivision with an average of 92.5 yards per game. FAU is the only team averaging less than 100 yards, and one of three averaging less than 200.

FAU is also last in passing offense (66.5 yards per game) and rushing offense (26 yards per game). The Owls are also last in third down conversions (2-of-23 or 8.7 percent) and first downs (12).

The defense is also near the bottom, as that unit is ranked No. 105 in total defense, allowing 451 yards per game, and No. 114 in scoring defense, with opponents averaging 42.5 points per game.

Coach Howard Schnellenberger did not have any answers Saturday for why his team played so poorly in a 44-0 loss to Michigan State where the Owls had one first down and a record-low 48 yards of offense.

They should get a "killer owl" for a mascot.
