Right, Massa just got screwed royally. Alonso and his whining cheating group of hangers on have no right to claim victory today.
If it were a clear cut thing, One being faster, then no problem, but Massa had him covered. Angry

The post race press conferance is great.
Never heard Fernando waffle so much crap in my life.
At least Felipe is man enough and has a good enough character to not bother lying.

Either both will be dq'd or nothing but a slap on the wrist. Either way Massa was screwed out of a well earned win on an important weekend, because as always Fernando cant beat a good team mate fairly so crys his way into it.

Just wondering, are post race penalties factored in for us,
or do we only concern ourselves with the results at the flag?

Someday,  I hope that team orders will be outlawed, and policed during the race.  Roll Eyes

Results of the comp will be taken from the official results.
Unless there is any objection.

Which are the official results?  At the flag, or when the get around to saying it is?  Grin  Wink

I'm all for how they crossed the line (crooked or otherwise), penalties be damned.  Cool

Cross the line is only provisional. The official results are usually signed off in the evening.
I'm not bothered. I benefit from at the line, but I would say the official results are how it should be or we get into territory that our results are different from the season results.
This came up in 2008 with Massa hamilton raikonnen at Spa I believe. Cant remember what we decided back then. Rob??

Ferrari Fined 100K and reffered to the world motorsport council for bring the sport into disrepute.
I think we will go from the race results cross the line as this will take a good time to sort out. Roll Eyes

I loved the way Rob Smedley delivered the "instruction" to Massa: "OK.....So...... Fernando.....is.... faster..... than...........YOU. Can you confirm you understand the message?" It's almost as if he deliberately made it sound like the coded message it was.....

Official FIA classified results. Which was why I always updated the standings on a Monday.

To be fair to Rob, I think he had just basically been arguing his case and was rather forcibly being told to tell Massa that. I honestly believe at Ferrari now, those two may be the only ones who are a class act.
I wont defend the Ferrari of old for what they did, but they basically did it with little care for hiding it. They made no secret of being the guys who pushed the limits. They weren't trying to insult the publics intellect.
This new Ferrari was supposed to be about, equality, much more fan friendly. Reality is, they haven't changed they are just trying to insult the fans.
