Speed channel is doing other things.  Roll Eyes

Live timing is so not as exciting as getting to watch it.  Embarrassed

It was tape delayed on Fox at 12pm eastern

I noticed that.  I find it impossible to watch a full race...
hours after I already know who won it.  Embarrassed

At that point, just give me the highlights, and save me the
long boring parade.

I've reached this point with the Jimmie Johnson cup series as well.   Lips Sealed
I haven't watched a Nascar race since the F1 season started, because I already know who is going to win.   Cry

Why do racing organizations, go out of their way to ruin the racing, by attempting to make it more competitive?

Shane, have you tried a proxy server and then the BBC sport. I believe that the stream the race on-line. This is what I did when ITV had the TV contract. German adverts are an average of seven minutes long, it was infuriating, you missed so much.

I searched like a mad man.  Grin  Wink

Most of my results came back as either not available in the US, or pay a ton of money for a subscription.

I'm not too worried yet, so far this season, this has been the only race not shown live.  I'm just really confused as to why Speed Channel didn't cover it.
Instead, they were showing some Billy Mays commercials.  Angry

If it happens again though, I may buy one of those subscriptions.   Grin Wink

Could just be a coincidence that you had no coverage for this round. Wait and see if you get coverage for the next. If you get nothing then I would have my suspicions.

It was shown on Fox to increase ratings for F-1 coverage and give Speedtv free advertising.  Fox owns Speed, and speed has a contract to show 4 races on Fox. Canada was on fox last week and wasn't shown on speed untill tuesday.  My Dvr did not record the race on fox because I have it set to record it on speed so I missed the race entirely untill it was shown on speed on tuesday.  I managed to avoid knowing who the winner was untill then.  Just remember, it doesn't kill you to be on the computer less Grin

Plan on seeing the British and German GP's on Fox around noon eastern.

Although I do miss the days where the F1 race would be shown on speed or fox live, then a replay later in the day.  Those were the days when Speed would broadcast cool things on a regular basis like open wheel ladder series', karting, DTM, BTCC, WTCC, Trans Am, SCCA events, V-8 Supercar, and of course: F-1 Decade (playing F-1 races from 10 years ago, which would be sooo cool now)

That's the Speed I remember, and miss a great deal!

I wanted to vomit when they showed  "Classic Nascar" last week, and it was a race from 2009!  Roll Eyes

At least they could have shown the 1979 Daytona 500 where Yarborough and Allison were trying to bash each others faces in.  Thats real NASCAR:  real stock cars and real pissed off drivers and fewer commercials for impotent men.

So far the only good stuff has been the Truck Series.

I ain't digging the Kylewide and Johnson Cup series too much anymore.......and I've been a (rabid!) fan since 1978.

I'm right there with you.  Wink

Loving the trucks here lately,
although I'm hoping the new Nationwide series car debuting this weekend makes as much of a difference in the racing,
as it will in the souvenir sales.  Roll Eyes  Wink
