Pete, I was wondering why my "superscenery" post in FS2004- a century of flight, was moved to the "other sites" forum. The post is about a new and exciting freeware add-on, with a link to another site merely to see a preview. I even joked about burning the link when finished using it. It's something that would interest most of us, yet it's buried in a rarely viewed forum just because it has a link to avsim. I  really don't see why nor agree with having it moved. Would you mind explaining? Thanking you in advance, Clipper.

Hi Clipper ,

I'm sorry you are a little upset by my moving this post ... however ... the link brought me to a log in page at avsim ... which is effectively taking our users off to engage in another site more than a simple link to an article.

If it was simply a link to an article - easy to access & view - I wouldn't have moved it - but as any viewer would have to interact with the site where this article is talked about ( I assume this is on their forum) it amounts to being primarily to do with our users activity on that site rather than the development itself.

The obvious best way to go here is to find where this development's site is & link to there. Then - assuming users wouldn't have to log in to view the contents - that would be absolutely fine.

May sound pedantic - that';s because it is! Wink  Grin

Thanks for the response. No ill feelings whatsoever, I actually wasn't aware of the Avsim sign in.  Smiley
