Alright ppl I got the solution..

I had about all the problems with FS2004 that are posted on this forums. Got a brand new computer this week, so I was like "finally, play flightsim the way it was ment..!!" NOT.. freezes, blue screes, black screens, crashed to desktop.. wtf  Angry

Well tried everything from new drivers to clean booting my system.. nothing worked.. So I went into the BIOS to trie everything out and spotted the option "Set High Perfomance Standards" (or something like that  Wink).. GUESS WHAT flight simulator is running fine now  Grin

Hope this will solve some of your problems.. My motherboard is MSI but I guess this option is available in most BIOS's.

My Specs:

AMD XP 3000+
Nvidia GeForce 5600FX
Kingston 512MB RAM DDR
KT4AV-L Socket A
Win XP Home
and the rest doesn't matter that much does it  Wink

Hey guys, if you're not 100% sure what you're doing when toying with your BIOS, don't try this.  BIOS settings aren't the kinda things you want to go into with the advice "or something like that".  Just an FYI for anyone feeling the urge to tinker.

Great edit, Bob.&&&&&&Google it. &&&&www.google.com

Theres lots of things in the bios that can help in performance.every computer,motherboard should have a manual that came with it to help in setting up the bios.i recomend getting that manual if you dont have one before going in there.just dont update the bios drivers unless you have a good understanding of what your doing cause thats where you really can get in trouble.but the bios dose need to be set up right in order to get the best performance of your system.and if your not shure you can handel this task with a manual you can allways take it some where and get this done by an expert for a small fee.have fun.

Flightcrew, maybe you should go back in the BIOS again, armed with your manual, and try to understand what you just did.   Shocked

You may find one or two more things in there that will make it a little better again!   Wink
