??? I can now tweak up my system and reinstall the proper config settings , and do the keyboard  and Joystick set ups blindfolded , and drunk.  I bought stock in a aspirin company.
I have installed & uninstalled this game so many times, my PC asked me the last time ...WHY ?.... ( yes it talks to me alot)  I am alon in the midsts of a quagmire. I cant join a running game , because of some strange glitch between the patch /no patch/crack/ no crack protocal errors/mismatched aircraft  ...?  the patch made some nice changes... but I lost frame rates with it. so back to stock... again.
And  Alone.  this must be a Terrorist Attack on all of us . I am astonished at the problems all this has done.
Flying alone ...naturally ?  Cry

Well, fellow Aussie, RAAF,

I've only just installed CFS3 onto a relatively low end P.C. with integrated graphics for which I had to get a "tweak" from Intel so that the Sim would recognise the chipset as compatible.

I've installed the 3.1 update and the no-cd patch, which are both supposed to increase performance.
I'm now at the point where I'm going to start the "recommended tweaks" that may help on my P.C. or situation.

So, it looks to me that I'm about to jump into the fire, if I have the same experience as you. I hope I don't. And I hope that you end up getting a result which at least, in part, justifies all your effort.

I really wonder if any of the "Powerful" at M$ have had a good browse through these forum pages. If one or more of them have, I expect that there would have had to be some explaining to do by the desighn team or programmers or someone by now..........................lol  Grin

I'll let you know how I get on. I'm not expecting much after having heard such negative reports, but then, I can't be too disappointed if I don't expect much, can I?

'ello Brensec,
first thanks for the reply... I believe I have found my main problem. I had dl'd some  add-on XML upgrades I found for the game, and a few added planes.  so after the 7th reinstall , I did the patch again, and then reinstalled the  no-cd crack again , did my usual tweaks for  my system , and Poof !  got to join in to 5 rooms, and hosted a room with company ! Finally ! , after 3 weeks alone, I believe  I have it repaired.
email me @ ....raaf453_shep1@juno.com   and I'll send you my tweaks  and set files ( also have pix  to show what I did)  if you want them as well.  I get 40-50 fps , and have sent the files to alot , that say it helped them play smooth as well.
Cheers  ! and best wishes !  Clear Skies , Check 6's !!

My big complaint is that there are so few servers to connect to. Maybe a dozen at any given time. Sort out the  red and yellow connections. THe ones that do not have 3.1 and the one or two that are usually passworded and that leaves maybe 3 or 4 to play on.

Makes me wonder if you can see ALL that are on or if CFS3 limits you to just a few?

'Ello Mates.... well as the stomach turns , a good name for this mismash of reports, ....yes , even by me ! , but  to the point of thie response....

As Oso reported, I still run into the same. I have a gret running game in a relatively new PC , I put together to accomodate CFS3. only now after this Stunningly Botched Patch these wonderful code scramblers have submitted to us, the heart of their wallets, is a sorry way to fix something.
Now there are so many versions , with compatitability problems, I just still wonder how they feel about us .
So forward into the darkness.  I travel sometimes alone ( even with pilots I know with the same items loaded , we share by email)   only to find a room where we both get to join , when we couldnt join each others room. ??? what is the deal ?
Cheers ! and Tally HO, dont give up ....this will work . patience , and trust , theres alot of us that want this fixed. I am confident , it will be. Roll Eyes
