Hi all..
On a number of my AC when I go to the 'Flight Checklist' on the Knee board I get 'headings' such as "Take-Off", "Cruise" etc. These are in blue. They're obviously linked to the Internet in someway. Thing is, I can't get them to activate or 'open.' Is there a way of 'activating' them please?
Thanks
Ralphc

They could be linked to your local computer. Open the kneeboard file and check that the link path is correct. That's all I can think of.

If they are 'hyper'links to another location, you maybe be able to check by right clicking on them, if you get a menu, look for properties and click on that, they may give you paths to another file or a location within the help file.
As an example of what you may see, right click on the Flight Simulator X in the
Simviation Forum › Current Flight Simulator Series › Flight Simulator X
line above and select properties.
On the kneeboard it is likely to point to a file on your PC, they could of course
simply be coloured different so they stand out

So far my number of landings either passenger or pilot equal my number of takeoffs, but that is due to change

Thanks for taking the time to respond, appreciated
'c130lover,' forgive me but where can I find the 'Kneeboard File?'
EVVFCX...Tried you idea in the documentation page (in this case for the Trident) and found the 'properties' There's the GC logo there. Changed it to 'Notepad' but no joy
Thanks

Go to the aircraft's folder (the one with the cfg). There should be one or two text or html documents with a _check or _ref at the end or something similar. If you're familiar with html documents, open it up with an editor.

Hi Again...
Thanks for your time (again) EVVFCX...It's a David Maltby Trident (and very good it is too
) So sorry no link.
C130lover...Found the file thanks. I've got 5 'Navlog' GC
HTM
Docs...not HTML or 'text' or _Check/_ref files.
What I did find when I was in there under
Simobjects
was every AC I've installed and then deleted..quite shocked that they're still there!
Appreciate your help with this Guys...spent ages looking for a solution last night.
Best Wishes
Ralphc

(Dave Maltby's Tridents at-
http://www.dmflightsim.co.uk/hs121_trident.htm
)
Unlike previous FS versions, the FSX Kneeboard does not support 'links'. (Dave mentions this in the Readme_Installation .txt file included with the Trident downloads.)
For the Trident; to read the documents with working links (all links are local) you can open them in your internet browser. They are located in the /DMFS Shared Files/ folder you in installed with the Panel installation (files are inside the .../HS121 Trident Documention/ sub-folder). The checklist file is Checklist.htm and the reference file is Manual.htm. Simply double-click, or right click > Open, on the file name to open in your browser.

Hi Dave...
Thanks for the reply...Hadn't realised that FSX doesn't 'do' links.
...Should have saved my time and all the other good people who offered their time too.
Yep, I'd found Dave M's V. helpful docs (obviously missed the bit about FSX and links)...I'd actually printed them, but had a bit of a clear out a while ago and they've disappeared
Anyway, looks like it's back to copying and pasting then
Thanks Again
Ralphc
