Hi all,
On the heli autopilot available from simviation or direct from it's publishers site, is it possible to assign the Stab switch and hover on/off and height control to a button on the joystick rather than using the mouse?
If I try and fly slowly to my target then go for the stab and hover control I'm mostly missing my target, with having to use my left hand for the mouse (I fly right handed) I'm finding I can't click on the required buttons quick enough.
Do I have to do this via the fsuipc4 or other sdk?
regards
Steve

So far my number of landings either passenger or pilot equal my number of takeoffs, but that is due to change

I've emailed Dirk before several years ago, he was a very busy pilot and presume he still is, all I'm thinking is that seeing as many instruments on various panels have a keyboard equilevent button to use that can also be assigned to a button press, that it would make it easier to use the autopilot.
I may have to go and read the sdk on my old xp pc

Steve,
Have you checked the 'afcp.cfg' file that comes with the autopilot? It appears to assign key presses for the autopilot functions.

Interesting...
Dave3cu is right. You can configure it to buttons
You must have a later version than me.
Which site did you get it from?

Have looked at the autopilot. It is an earlier version of mine ,not later.
The key strokes clash with other button functions for FSX.
Think l will stick with the version l have. But best of luck
with yours.

cheers Dave, I'll have a look at the cfg file.
Bigcav: The autopilot I'm using is from the authors own site, i would have expected it to be latest version, I did try the one fromsv but I couldn;t get it to work
