Back in 2007 an F-15 broke up during rather mild maneuvering, the cause has been found. Boeing approved and shipped faulty structural members in F-15s.

It is crap like this that makes me say: If it's Boeing, I'm NOT going!
There is NO EXCUSE for approving parts half the required thickness!!!
This whole thing is just pathetic.

This is not the cause, this is the outcome of Boeing being "told off" by the Brass. The cause was released about three or four years ago. As usual, the $$$ side of things drags out for years and years past the fact.....
$1 million to replace the parts, a piss in the ocean and a waste of tax payers money to go after it too. Not a real punishment at all.

Look into the KC-X program fiasco (all 3 of them) to see Boeing's true colors
The Boeing of today is NOT the same one that produced the likes of the 747, 737, B-52 or B-17!!!!!
They are the GM of aircraft manufacturers today. Stay off of any new Boeing! If it is old, do not worry
