Hi folks, well today is December 21st and the first day of Winter.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Winter_solstice

We have a mixture of snow and rain and the temperature is just above freezing.

It looks like our weather will be like this until Christmas Day which is forecasted to be sunny and somewhere in the single digits below freezing... Smiley

The old girl and I just recently got home from wrapping gifts at the bug smasher field for the childrens Christmas Party.

The talk around the table was we need snow for Christmas, many locations have lots of snow but it just seems to go around us... Angry     Lips Sealed

No one here wants a green Christmas.

I was surprised to hear some old retired rocking chair flying geezers complaining about the price of clothes.

Here the day after Christmas, Boxing Day you can purchase for example a mans shirt for sixty per cent off what you paid before Christmas.

My idea is to purchase one gift per person before Christmas and then do your shopping Boxing Day or later when the prices are much lower.

The old girl has always started her shopping right after Christmas when the prices are their lowest... Wink

Gas will go up here today and be lowered after Boxing Day just like every holiday... Lips Sealed

The drive home took fifteen minutes more because of the road conditions and poor visibility.
We have the best vehicle on the road for this type of weather and road conditions.

Our Land Rover is not only comfortable but also gives us a sense of security and confidence during inclement weather conditions.

We have owned a good number of Land Rovers over the years and I sure wish they would bring back the old Model 88... Wink

It would seem the old girl has forgot about me for awhile so perhaps I shall program in a nice cold winter flight for our Paul "Fozzer" to dream about... Grin     Wink

Grin Grin Grin...thanks Paul... Smiley

We seem to enjoy all four seasons equally here.

They say a change is as good as a rest... Smiley

By the way before I forget, Ice Pilots is back on our History Channel again.  We just noticed it last week.

Hope the temperature rises for you Paul... Smiley

Coincidentally this is the coldest day of the year in Boca del Vista.

A cold front will push temperatures tonight to 40° F/4° C.

Fortunately we'll be back up to 65 °F/18 °C tomorrow so I won't have to wear long pants or socks or anything like that.

...

A bad day at golf is better than a good day at work.
