Hi.

Has anyone had a problem with ATC not giving taxi instructions in FSX?

Never had it before but following a complete reinstall of Win 7 and FSX, I no longer get taxi instructions. Hence, no progressive taxi; no follow me.

Thx

Are you flying at a controlled airport (like KJFK or heathrow) or an uncontrolled aiport?
Because at uncontrolled airports you just announce your taxi, you don't get clearance.

Greets

just a pair of long wings and some rising air.

Excellent reminder there, from Benny!... Wink..!

Controlled, Uncontrolled, Private, etc, airports, airstrips, etc, all have different methods of radio communication.
What you will be confronted with in communication will depend upon which type of airport you are in contact with.
ATC communication is a fascinating subject in the Flight Sims and well worth a study of different methods.
Generally, radio communication with ATC works very well in the FS 2002/FS 2004/FSX Flight Sims!

Hi. All of the airports are controlled.

It used to work fine prior to the reinstall. I cannot figure out what may have caused it.

Thx

Back to basics - Do you get the "standard" ATC box on screen? If not, run the "repair" version of install. If yes, is sound active?

Do you have DX10 checked? I'm not sure if it works in that.

Take Care,
