Goodly morning all... Smiley

Lots of work ahead... Angry

Not sure if and when I will get at it.. Lips Sealed

Two days ago during a simulated flight with REX ON the computer screen flashed and I got some error from Microsoft.

I clicked the box that said "Wait for the program to respond", the program being FSX.

Nothing happened so I had to reboot as everything locked up.

When I restarted FSX with and without REX all my clouds were square boxes and there were rectangles and other such stuff in the sky.

A deletion of REX and reinstall did not fix the problem.

A System Restore did not fix the problem.

I deleted everything that had to do with Microsoft Flight Simulator X off this computer.  Everything is gone... Sad

Not sure what I will do with this electronic gizmo now, Christmas is just around the corner and a busy time for us and family.

The old girl thinks I should reinstall FSX and everything but REX as that has been nothing but a problem with upgrades.

The REX2 program was no problem as it was installed from a Disk but the updates gave me many problems.

It will take several days and a lot of patience to get this electronic gizmo up and going like it was before.

Time will tell but will keep checking in on the Forums to see how everyone else is doing... Wink

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Doug... Smiley...

Do you have any other "Games" on the computer (without REX!) that run OK, to test that your Graphics Card is not going; "belly-up"!...(overheating, component failure, etc)... Shocked...!

Do you still have FS 2004 on the computer HDD, for a graphics test?

Paul.... Cool...!

Good morning Paul... Smiley

This computer was built only for the use of Microsoft FSX and should still be top of the line as they say.

The Graphics Card is not much more than a year old.

There are no other games on this unit and I removed FS 2004 several years ago.

I get e-mails from many flying friends and family with aircraft videos and pictures and just went through some of them.
All seems fine as I just got a Water Bombing Video and it showed great.

I think the problem was when I went from REX Essential to REX Overdrive as all worked well prior to that.

Computer seems to run at 35 Degrees Celsius with five fans and looks dust free but will give it a cleaning again today.
That 35 Degrees Celsius seems constant all the time except start up and I asked about that and was told it was ok.

I run Maintenance and Performance Tests from the Control Panel weekly and all looks normal.

If I do another download you can bet I will only install REX2 and perhaps the Essential Update and that is it.

Have a Great Day... Wink

That's the reason, Doug!... Shocked...!
As well as developing a number of computer faults....
...you also lose all your trusty FS 2004 Mates!... Cry....!

Thanks for the replies folks... Wink

Have not installed any Microsoft Flight Games back on this electronic gizmo yet.

Looking at alternate alternatives.

We go up to the old homestead and I sit in the C185 and the old girl pulls up and down on the wing while the grandchildren make weird engine sounds... Smiley

Good afternoon all... Smiley

Finally got some of this stuff loaded back onto the game and will do a short simulated flight.

Will post a few shots in the Payware Section as a lot of it is Payware.
