Hi!

Sorry I know there is kinda a taboo for people in one flightsim site to talk about other flightsim sites (particularly the big ones).

Anyway was just wondering if anyone else found themselves migrating here for whatever reason.  I used to go a lot to a couple of other big sites (no names given of course) but not so much now, the main reason being I don't have a super powerful PC and like things to be lean running and I find their sites bloated a bit now with lots of javascript and I don't really use social networking either.  So I ended up here for the moment!

Am I the only one or did anyone else migrate house a little! (Of course I still check other sites but find myself most of the time here for the moment)?

Many thanks for any thoughts,

P.

SimV is the only flight sim sight I've bothered with, so I cannot make an accurate comparison.  When I first purchased FSX, SimV  was at the top of the Google list for free downloads.  It was a year or so after that I started reading posts and probably another year after that before I chose to respond.  I remain loyal to SimV for very simple reasons.
1.  Admin. is on their game.  The only problem I've ever had with logging in was promptly addressed by Pete.
2.  I prefer rules like the ones here...reasonably clean humor, no abbreviations, no politics, etc.
3.  Everyone is so darn friendly and funny! Smiley
4.  I like to drool over Fozzer's gourmet food creations. Grin

That is the way it went for me too.
This is a much more friendly environment than any other forum for sims or games I have found. Albeit for games the only forum I have done anything on is for World of Tanks.

I am a member of several of the other sim forums out there, but I do not get the response on those forums as fast as I do here nor are they as friendly.

So SimV is my forum of choice  Cool

Adam

My twopenny-and-a-half's worth.... Wink...!

Like a few others, I have been visiting and chatting here, almost since Sim V was invented, and although being a member of a few other big FS Sites for many years, (and also a Moderator in a Music Site), the thing I really like/appreciate about Sim V, (compared to the Other Sites), is the freedom to deviate in and out of the current Topic, with all sorts of interesting information, humorous quips, etc, without fear of being shot down in flames and being told not to do so!
My attempts at doing so on Other Sites has always been met with much distaste by Members, and those in Charge.

I like the non-restricted; "FUN" we have here!... Smiley...!

(...together with the more serious stuff...)....Like demonstrating the density of water, compared to air?... Smiley...!

I 'read' through several flightsim forums but never sign in. It seem that some of them are way Anal about staying on topic. The beauty of SimV is the diversity of the members and the quality of the admin. Not to forget Pete though, for keeping his site maintained and running for our enjoyment.  Cool

Same here, SimV is the only flight site I've reg'd with.  I like it, it's just great, everyone here is cool and friendly, and I really enjoy reading and posting stuff.

So, three cheers for SimV!  Hup, hup, hup.

Been here for over 9 years..
Havn't flown FS for about 3 years I think.. But I still come here, because I like the company, and the friendly and humours.. Humoures.. funny attitude in here, from all over the world Grin
And I do also like the diversity that comes by being an international forum, most members don't have English as their first language, but we all come along anyways!

Cheers Theis!  Cool

I would occasionally frequent other sites to search for downloads that weren't available here or because this site wasn't so chipper on speed.  But... I've been with SimV for 11 years now, while I'm not on here as much as I'd like to be (stupid work! LOL)... I've met a lot of wonderful people that I considered friends!

I actualy cam here looking for downloads but didn't register, then I joined to ask for help...I stuck here ever since,I rarely check other sites partly because they're unfriendly and partly because I have to be carefull about what I download since my disk for FSX is nearly full.
