Hi All,
Is there any way of stopping the panel/cabin lights coming on automatic. So I can put them on myself.
The reason for this is, when i start in cold & dark mode, and it's dark outside they are already on when i enter the cockpit. I just want to make it more real.

Thanks

If you have saved a 'cold and dark' flight as your default flight, load the flight and check that everything including battery and all lights are off.

OK, so I have saved a default flight Boeing 737, if I load it up in cold & dark, can I change it to an Airbus, or any other aircraft, and will it remain the same cold & dark state as the 737

Yes it will. You can change aircraft, weather, airport (parked) and time and your aircraft should remain 'cold and dark'.

This applies to the initial flight you create in the 'Free Flight' window. If you should exit a flight and return to the 'Free Flight' window to create another, the state of things are those from the flight you just exited. If you want to start another flight 'cold and dark' you can load your 'default' flight and go from there.

The default flight will not effect the state of things in any other saved flights that you load.

Make sure in your FSX settings under realism, you check the "pilot controls lights" option, that is, if you haven't already done it.
