Hello,

I played CFS2 (Pacific) long time ago ... i want to come back in this type of "game" or air combat simulator (i prefer old aircraft, like ww2 spitfire ^^), but i can't chose ...

So i goes on the internet and find those games :

CFS 3 (with the addon Fire Power, if i'm right ...)
FSX (with the addon Wings of Power 2 : WW2 fighter, if i'm right ... ?)
X-Plane

I heard a MMORPG simulator ... called War Thunder : World War ... coming soon ^^

I don't know what's the best realistic, no bugs Smiley, and full of people on the internet flights ... i liked very much cfs2, so normally the 3 must be OK, but the game has 8 years old ... i'm scaried by the graphics maybe too old ...

So if you can help me to choose ... thx ^^

Thomas

8plusone,
I just found this site . Give it a try. I just might put CFS2 back on my HD. Used to fly CFS2 with the RAF662CFSG way back.

Il-2 with UP. That cannot be beat.
I have UP3 installed, early 1930's to early 50's aircraft, intelligent AI, and a bewildering array of flyable aircraft.

The thing I like about Microsoft CFS 2, is that I can install many of my Microsoft FS 2000/FS 2002/FS 2004 aircraft, etc, into it...

..including my little Cessna 150*....for exploring!... Kiss...!

Paul... Cheesy...!

Il-2 is very flexible if one gives it a go.

Hi,
Ok, CFS2 is still great Smiley.

Do someone test Flight Sim X ? If the "Wings of Power 2" add-on is for FS 2004/FSX (only pilot, no combats), did someone test CFS3 with the Fire Power add-on ?

If someone knows how buy/DL CFS2 on the web, i'm listening Smiley And with all patch, add-on ... it's a +.

Do CFS2/3 works on windows 7 64bit ?

Thx,
Thomas

I have the Firepower mod for CFS3 and the associated Wings of Power (with P-51) for FS9 and FSX. The only problem I have encountered is the Lancaster's canopies are black in FSX if you are using SP2 or Acceleration.

Where are you located? If you're in the USA, you can probably find CFS2 in the Bargain Software section of stores like Office Depot, OfficeMax, or Staples. You can also purchase CFS2 on eBay or Amazon.

IF YOU OBTAIN CFS2 AS A DOWNLOAD ON THE INTERNET YOU ARE BUYING AN ILLEGAL COPY.  Angry

I fly FSX and really enjoy it. I have added "aicarriers as I like carrier landings especially with Roy Chaffin's B-25.
Il2..no way. Don't like it at all.
I just finished installing CFS2 and added a lot of carriers. I really enjoy carrier landings, especially with NO tailhooks  Wink

Sorry to hear that, to be honest I had problems with it at first due to the control sensitivity but I got used to it after making some tweaking.
