Yes they tried flight... and it was cancelled within a few months... ms is trying to figure out what went wrong with one free plane and the main hawaiian island, no AI, no ATC, Horrible Phisycs, $50 crappy alaska, and $20 Mustang with no cockpit at all, and they're trying to figure out where they went wrong

I loaded MS Flight then I deleted MS Flight. I might as well resolve to the fact that FSX is here to stay for the the near future.

I foresee that FS 2004 and FSX will satisfy most of our needs for some time yet...

FSX + REX + ORBX = Looks like a completely new sim  Cheesy

But seriously, Microsoft hasn't announced any plans for resuming development of FS and Prepar3D is only supposed to be used for commercial training purposes, meaning that the only "serious" sims which are still being developed are X-Plane and aerofly FS, both of which are cr*p compared to FSX IMO. However,  I think both of them have got a good future. Five years from now, X-Plane just might take the throne as the top sim.

Don't forget the open source 'Flightgear' ... and being open source means the sky is the limit as far as development is concerned.

Problem with Flightgear is that not enough attention is paid to it. If is was, it could be the way of the furture.
