Hi!

Great pics. Many thanks.

Now that would make some interesting Youtube videos.  Crazy fighter pilots flying their planes into tiny mountain strips!

Many thanks,

Pierre

I'm still sitting tight at Lukla, waiting for spareparts to my gears Cool

Many thanks for the welcome.  I am enjoying this fligtsim forum a lot so far!

You know in FS when I'm running out of runway on a roll-out where I came in too fast I just hit the parking brake!  I don't think I want to know if anyone's done that in real life!!

Many thanks,

Pierre

P.S. Nice new pics too!

That looks like fun Cool

Great shots too..........I think the cars in/on the runway are there because the developer used freeway textures for the runway so that it could be made to slope. Maybe the cars are from the freeware REX road textures?: http://www.realenvironmentxtreme.com/downloads.html

If you remove these textures the cars will go away Wink

"Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth and danced the skies on laughter silvered wings. Sunward I've climbed and joined the tumbling mirth of sun split clouds.....and done a hundred things you have never dreamed of.....wheeled and soared and swung high in the sunlit silence. Hovering there, I've chased the shouting wind along and flung my eager craft through footless halls of air.

Up, up the long, delerious, burning blue I've topped the wind swept heights with easy grace where never Lark, nor even Eagle flew. While with silent lifting of mind I've trod the high untrespassed sanctity of space, put out my hand and touched the face of god"

Yes, i've had the same thought about the road tex. I dont use it that much, so i'll try to get rid of it.

Thank you CHUCK Smiley

Much better indeed !
So, how do you like these sloped runway landings now ? Challenging, aren't they ?  Cool

The same author made quite a few similar sloped runways for the Alps (the famous Courchevel, for exeample).

Well, i think i would like any sloped runway if the inflight are normal! It sure is a good way to get the rolling speed down.

BUT this airfield is certently not normal, exp when flying jets and need that right turn to hit the runway. That is challeging flying i must say. I love it though Wink

I'll have a look on those in the Alps. Thanks again.
