Hi

I know I have ssen the answer to this somewhere but cannot find it.

I have just re-installed Win7 and FSX on my PC, works well for about 20 mins then the program locks up and eventually fails and restarts back to front flash screen.

There is a simple fix but as I say can't find it.

does anyone have the naswer please?

all drivers up to date, plenty of memory, CPU speed etc.

Thanks

Eric

I have a humble guess.
To me it looks like a heat problem!
But what i dont understand is, why that shows after a reinstall?? Well, working with pc's, anything can happen.

The all-elusive; "naswer".... Cry...!

If only we could find it... Embarrassed..!

As Bass suggests, I would also suspect over-heating.

PSU, Processor, Graphics Card?

Are you Over-clocking?...
All cooling fans running OK, and dust free?

Paul... Cool...!

...."The naswer is blowing in the wind...".... Grin...!

I had this problem with FSX for the first 3 years I had it. In my case, heat was, in fact, the problem. I changed out my case and added some overkill items and the problem was solved. I decided since I was shelling out more cash to get FSX to properly, to do a full pc upgrade also. I picked the Antec 1200. It comes with five 140mm (3 front, 2 back) and a 200mm fan on the top. While I was at it I had an intercooler installed. Since then I haven't had a hick-up out of the pc.

I'll also note, that I upgraded to a faster processor and a 2G vid card, and the case is about the size of a 20 gallon aquarium, but it most definately solved my problems. Hope this helps.
