My old box fan died last night. It had been in our family since I was a kid and I can recall how it would be my "engine" whenever I played airplane pilot. So RIP "ole brownie" 1965-2012 Undecided

My central air conditioner killed itself last night while we were sleeping. So I went down in the basement and dug out my 32 year old box fan. I had forgotten how soothing the breeze and blade noise is!  Cool

Wow, sorry to hear about the loss!
As a fellow former cardboard box & fan aviator, I can understand...

Now my cardboard box has an HD screen, HOTAS joystick and sharpy drawn instruments replaced with VCs! Grin

Ha ha, I still have an old box fan in the window upstairs. The other day I thought a C-130 was flying over, I forgot I turned on the fan.

I have no place to go and all day to get there.
